On June 3, a deputy received report of a possible DUI related to a gold 1996 Toyota Tacoma. The deputy located the truck and observed that it was driving erratically. Approaching the vehicle, the deputy smelled intoxicants and saw a half-gallon bottle of rum on the floor. Based on the man’s condition, he was arrested in connection with driving under the influence of alcohol. As the deputy was preparing to transport the man to Camano precinct, the man said his 3-year-old daughter was in the back seat. The deputy found the girl lying across the backseat unrestrained, sleeping. A second deputy arrived to take the child to the precinct and wait for the grandmother to pick her up. He was cited in connection with driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless endangerment.
