Everett City Council Agenda: Target Zero (DUI Detection)
Detailed Summary Statement:
The Washington State Traffic Commission is providing funding for Snohomish County law enforcement agencies to participate in the Target Zero Teams project. The goal is to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured by impaired drivers in Snohomish County by deploying DUI patrols at times and locations where data indicates that the most safety benefit can be realized. The allocation for the Everett Police Department's participation in the project is $4,000.00 for three months of the project activities.
Recommendation:
Authorize the Mayor to sign the 2010 Memorandum of Understanding with the Washington Traffic Commission regarding participation in the Target Zero Teams project.
