A condition of any DUI case, whether the case is amended to a lesser charge or not, is that you obtain an alcohol evaluation. And, in Washington State there are hundreds of treatment centers that are State certified and qualified to perform such an evaluation. However, they are not all the same! These treatment centers are business and make most of their money through treatment! Therefore when you are thinking of doing an evaluation be certain to go to the facility that is recommended by your attorney. The facility should be trustworthy, honest, and working for you not the court or their own pocket book. I only refer clients to three facilities in the King County, Snohomish County, Island County and Skagit County areas. Why? Because they are the only ones who consistently are reputable, trustworthy, and consistent. I simply do not trust any others.
