Karl Rove writes in his forthcoming memoir that the George W. Bush campaign suspected Al Gore’s press secretary, Chris Lehane, of involvement in the leak of Bush’s quarter-century-old DUI charge right before the 2000 election — a disclosure that Rove says may have cost his boss five states.
