As reported by the Skagit County Sheriff's Office:

Jan. 26

1:44 p.m. A caller on Sharpe's Point near Anacortes reported that she had been walking her dog along a cliff when the ground gave way and her dog fell down the cliff. Hikers had rescued the animal before a deputy arrived.

7:02 p.m. A caller in Lyman reported two children had been left in a vehicle outside a tavern. The vehicle was gone by the time a deputy arrived.

Jan. 27

11:41 a.m. The Sheriff's Office received a report of two Rottweilers roaming in Clear Lake. Upon contact, the dog owner told a deputy they had recently moved, and the dogs were trying to return to their old house.

2:35 p.m. A homeowner in Alger reported a theft of firearms from the residence. A suspect had been identified, and the investigation was ongoing.

Jan. 28

7:15 p.m. Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in the Burlington area, with a report of an intoxicated adult son pushing his parents. An investigation determined no crime had been committed.

8:07 p.m. Deputies responded to a suspected DUI on Highway 20 near Concrete. The driver was moving erratically, crossing the centerline. Upon contact, deputies determined the driver was not impaired but only having difficulty driving in the rain.

Jan. 29

4:27 p.m. A caller from Cape Horn reported receiving a call from someone who said, "You're dead tonight."

6:43 p.m. A caller reported that an intoxicated female had exited a vehicle and stumbled into a bar on Highway 9 near Mount Vernon. Responding deputies were unable to find either the woman or the vehicle.

Jan. 30

10:26 a.m. A caller reported that a male acquaintance had threatened to jump off Rainbow Bridge in La Conner. Deputies were unable to locate the man.

3:57 p.m. A Concrete-area woman reported a neighbor's dog came onto her property and attacked her dog.

Jan. 31

9:45 a.m. A caller in the Alger area reported subjects lurking around the windows of an abandoned home. A deputy determined they were winterizing the home for the bank.

3:22 p.m. A caller in Cape Horn reported a suicidal friend had taken 60 Ambien. A deputy contacted the subject, who denied taking the bills and appeared OK.

Feb. 1

5:42 a.m. A caller in the Mount Vernon area reported someone had fatally shot themselves in the head with a shotgun.

4:59 p.m. A man in Cape Horn requested that his female friend be removed from his residence. The two had been arguing.
