Shoreline Bothell King County Drunk Driving DUI Lawyer: DUI Questions / Answers

Question: Can I plea no contest to a DUI?
Question Detail: I wanted to know if I could defend my DUI case by pleading no contest. I did blow above the legal limit, but I was told to not plead guilty anyway. If I explained what happened, will I have a chance at no contest?

You can plead “no-contest” to the DUI, if you wish.  It is unwise and any Judge worth their ethical salts will strongly advise against it until you have consulted with an attorney.

My advice is to consult with an attorney before you do this.

If you cannot afford a private lawyer apply for a public defender.
