On August 17th at approximately 1:40 a.m. in the 14500 block of 124th Ave. N.E. of Kirkland, a Kirkland Police officer stopped a 30-year-old Woodinville driver for traveling 54 mph in a posted 35 mph zone. The Woodinville man had been consuming alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He provided a preliminary breath test of .110 and blood alcohol contest samples of .094 and .095. A Kirkland DUI Municipal Court date is pending.
