According to the Komo News (Mukilteo) Washington State Troopers will be all over Snohomish County roads this Labor Day weekend - looking for drunk drivers. According to Snohomish county officials, the extra patrols are paid for by an overtime traffic safety grant through the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
"Twenty-five lives have been lost in traffic crashes this year in Snohomish County," said Tracy McMillan, Snohomish County's DUI & Target Zero Task Force manager. "Many of these were caused by a driver who chose to speed and/or drive under the influence."
The DUI / Drunk Driving task force is also warning vehicle and motorcycle drivers to share the road.
