Anacortes, Skagit County Criminal Defense Attorney: Anacortes man arrested for malicious mischief and disorderly conduct
A 28-year-old Anacortes man was arrested on charges of malicious mischief, disorderly conduct and felony harassment after an Anacortes officer saw him walk out of a bar in the 300 block of Commercial Avenue and kick the passenger side of a parked car around 1:58 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30.
The Anacortes officer contacted the man, who showed signs of intoxication. He initially denied kicking and denting the car, but later admitted kicking the car and said it belonged to a friend who didn't care. The vehicle owner was found and he did care and wanted to press charges.
The man was arrested. He reportedly yelled profanities and attempted to pull away from Anacortes officers. He was taken to the Anacortes police station where he allegedly continued to call the Anacortes officers names, threatened to kill an Anacortes officer and, when placed into a holding cell, used a ring to scratch profanities into the paint on the door.
While being transported to jail, the man reportedly made multiple threats to kill Anacortes police Anacortes officers. He was booked into jail.
