Anacortes, Skagit County DUI Attorney: Twas the Anacortes DUI before Christmas
On Christmas Eve an Anacortes police officer on routine patrol heard what sounded like tires squealing near 17th and Q Avenue in Anacortes at 4:25 a.m. and saw a Volvo station wagon northbound on Q with four-way flashers on and a flat rear tire. The vehicle was reportedly traveling at 40 mph in the 25 mph zone – on a flat time (hmmm). As the Anacortes police officer activated lights and sirens to stop the vehicle it sped off, reaching speeds of 60 mph before coming to a stop in the middle of Ninth Street in Anacortes, Skagit County. The driver, a 35-year-old Seattle man, exhibited signs of intoxication. He was arrested for investigation of eluding arrest and DUI in Anacortes, Skagit County.
