Anacortes Skagit County DUI Attorney: Anacortes Woman gets DUI then vomits
On December 27th in Anacortes, Skagit County, an Anacortes police officer saw a vehicle leave a parking lot in the 400 block of O Avenue in Anacortes at a high speed around 2:10 a.m. The vehicle turned sharply and crossed into the oncoming lane and then overcorrected and nearly struck the curb. The officer followed the vehicle onto Eighth Street where it again made a sudden turn and struck the curb. The officer approached the car and smelled the strong odor of intoxicants. When asked where she was going, the driver, a 22-year-old Anacortes woman, stared for a long period and said "here." She had watery, bloodshot eyes and slow reactions, and showed confusion when asked for her license and other documents. The woman performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested on a charge of DUI. She provided breath samples almost three times the legal limit. She vomited several times at the police station before she was released to a sober relative. She is to appear in Anacortes Municipal Court.
