Anacortes, Skagit County Criminal Defense Attorney: Anacortes DUI driver stopped after bartender stopped serving him alcohol
In Anacortes, Skagit County on December 24th an Anacortes officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 20 as it came into Anacortes around 2:21 a.m. The driver, a 30-year-old Anacortes man, smelled of alcohol and had a flushed face and watery, bloodshot eyes. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on a charge of DUI. He later allegedly told the Anacortes officer he drank so much alcohol the bartender stopped serving him, took his keys, and made him wait for two hours drinking coffee before he would let him leave. The man's breath samples were about one and a half times the legal limit. He was cited and released to a sober friend.
